About these terms
This website is operated by GS Chisholm, trading as Geesc Online, an independent digital practice, from 13 Beech Brae, Elgin, Moray, IV30 4NS. By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you have a question, email projects@geesc.online.
An enquiry or conversation through the site does not by itself create a client relationship or bind either of us to a project. Any paid work will be covered by a separate written proposal, scope or agreement.
Using the site
You may browse the site and link to its public pages in a fair and lawful way. You must not misuse the site, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with its operation, introduce malicious code, scrape it in a way that disrupts the service, or use its content unlawfully.
Client accounts
Client-area access is personal to the person it is issued to. Keep your sign-in details confidential, do not share an account without agreement, and tell me promptly if you believe an account has been compromised.
I may suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect the site, client information or other users, or where access is no longer required. Project-specific rights and obligations remain governed by the relevant client agreement.
Portfolio work and intellectual property
Unless stated otherwise, the site’s design, writing, code examples and original media belong to Geesc Online or are used with permission. Client names, brands, screenshots and third-party materials remain the property of their respective owners.
You may view and share links to the portfolio for ordinary personal or business reference. You may not copy, republish, sell or present substantial parts of the site as your own without prior written permission.
External sites
The portfolio links to projects and services operated on other websites. Those links are provided for context and convenience. I do not control every external site and their own terms and privacy notices apply when you visit them.
Accuracy and availability
I try to keep the portfolio accurate and available, but projects change and links occasionally break. The site and its public content are provided for general information and may be updated, paused or removed without notice. Nothing on the site is professional legal, financial or other regulated advice.
Responsibility
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Subject to that, Geesc Online is not responsible for loss caused by relying on general portfolio content, by an external website, or by events reasonably outside my control. Any responsibility connected with paid client work is dealt with in the separate agreement for that work.
Privacy
The Privacy notice explains how personal information and essential client-login cookies are handled.
Changes and applicable law
I may update these terms when the site or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest revision. Your continued use of the site after a change means the updated terms apply from then on.
These website terms are governed by the law of Scotland. The Scottish courts will have non-exclusive jurisdiction, which means that any mandatory rights you have to bring a claim elsewhere are not affected.
